The Green Network brings together environmental, nature, biodiversity, gardening, and food growing projects within Southampton with the aim to support and resource individuals, community groups, and organisations deliver those activities, learn from each other, and link to city wide initiatives:
- We include – We are open to everyone regardless of their political or religious beliefs, backgrounds, or roles.
- We run – We have around the table discussions about issues that are important to our members. Special events, training, and meetings will be arranged as requested by network members.
- We decide – We establish together on the key issues we want to discuss. We then decide and work with who is best placed to deliver solutions or outcomes.
- We share – We distribute information and hear about important topics. We contribute to strategic plans and initiatives.
- We communicate – We promote green activities across the city. We provide an opportunity for network members to share information and updates.
Regular meetings provide an opportunity for peer support, networking, and the sharing of information about city wide and national initiatives. The network both celebrates the impact and raises awareness of green activities in the city.
