Over the last nine months, through our Coproduction Corner work, we have been developing a network of people interested in coproduction.
We talk about coproduction as meaning: Coproduction = working together as equals to develop policy and design / deliver services.
During this June’s Friday Forum session, Southampton’s Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations will have the chance to speak about their coproduction work.
We want to hear examples from Southampton VCSE organisations that include some or all of these elements :
- Local people have been involved in designing and delivering a project, service, or initiative.
- People with “lived experience” are helping to make decisions.
- It fulfills the objective of “nothing about us without us.”
- It makes people feel valued rather than “done to.”
We are keen to hear examples from a range of different types of projects. Small initiatives are just as welcome as large projects. We welcome your honest perspectives, not just on what has gone well but also on what the challenges have been.
Each group will have up to 5 minutes to talk about their project.
