We want to celebrate Southampton’s communities, by making an exhibition about Southampton’s voluntary organisations, community groups and social enterprises. This exhibition will be on display at Southampton Voluntary Services’ offices in Kingsland Square from November 2023 for a few months. A portable version will also be made, which can be taken to community events.
The exhibition will be launched at our Annual General Meeting on 10 November (book here) and we will use it to help showcase our city at future events too.
Send us an image (landscape or portrait) that we will print at about A4 size, along with this form: Community exhibition image details. Contact us to be emailed a copy. In order to be put up in time for Southampton Voluntary Services’ Annual General Meeting, please send us an image by 8 November 2023. Later entries can be accepted, but it will mean your picture won’t be on display for our AGM.
As you can see from the form, we are asking you to provide some text to go alongside the image, which will explain something about the picture and your community organisation more generally. There will be a prize for the favourite entries.
