Southampton Voluntary Services received a really positive response to our new exhibition of Southampton’s community organisations, which was launch at our Annual General Meeting on 10 November 2023 at the city’s Voluntary Action Centre. We are grateful to all the organisations that got involved by sending in images of their work, alongside text about their services and activities.
We know that there are lots of charities, community groups and social enterprises who could still showcase their work through this exhibition. So the next deadline to submit an entry is Thursday 30th November at midday. Please send the image to us with a completed copy of this form to SVS: Community exhibition image details
We will keep the exhibition on show at our centre, and also make a mini version to be taken out into the community, when we go to public events, to help point out the variety of community work that takes place across the city.
Our next big event is People Powered Southampton on 6 December 2023. This is an important session for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations as we will be talking about how you can get involved in influencing health and care decision-making in Southampton and beyond. It is the inaugural event as we work towards an health and care alliance of Southampton’s charities, social enterprises and community groups.
