Making Every Contact Count (MECC) Training aims to develop skills that will help staff open up conversations around healthy lifestyles.
The training cultivates an approach that is non-judgemental and reflective and can be adapted to a range of settings when working with clients, including families or adults who want to make a behavioural change around weight, physical activity, or other lifestyle changes. The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH)
Who should attend?
Staff working in frontline posts with patients or clients and have brief conversations with them
Staff in contact with families such as play workers
Staff who have contact with adults with overweight or obesity issues
Would you like to…..
Improve communication skills to approach adults individually or in groups?
Increase awareness of opportunities to make positive changes to lifestyles and the effects on the individual?
Help adults overcome barriers which will help them or their families lead healthier lifestyles?
